Default Fuel coming out exhaust, P0101 code, running terrible

This happened after a WOT run. I barely got the car home! The check engine light was flashing so I did a manual diagnostic and it gave me the P0101 code. The car runs horribly right now and it smells like straight gas coming out of the exhaust. I also feel like I don't have brakes (the pedal feels stiff).

I've removed the MAF sensor, cleaned it, and re-installed it making sure all the clamps are tight, but nothing has changed. It smells like fuel is just being dumped and after I turn the car off, it still sounds like fuel is spraying.

I have a cam, breathless intake, and LT's and it was tuned at LG motorsports.. Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Spencer

Spencer,

If it was tuned here, give us a ring. I would be more than happy to assist.

The 101 code of course is MAF sensor performance code. If the sensor has something wrong with it, of course that is going to effect how the car is going to drive and how it controls fuel. All wires plugged in ok? Nothing broken or shorted out? All fuses ok?

Any other codes or just a MAF code?

Depending on the size of the camshaft, and of course what kind of exhaust you have on the car they can smell really rich at idle with some of the bigger cams and a lot of over lap.

You said there is a noise after the car is turned off though?

Thanks for the response Anthony. I send you a PM..

There is a noise after the car is turned off which sounds like hissing or something spraying. It is accomponied by the smell of unburnt fuel.. Lots of it!!

I'd say you have a bad injector.. or worse (valve spring ?)

Broken valve spring would be my guess. (hope its not any worse than that).

The injector would be unlikely to cause the P0101, however something seriously disturbing the MAP (no vacuum) sure would.

I would agree. Especially happening after a WOT run.
