Battery problems... HELP!
I had a month to drive it before going up on blocks for the winter (Mich). On a sunny day on Jan, I went to start it and the battery was dead, so I trickle charged it for 2 days and it started right up. I just tried to start it yesterday
and it was dead again.
I really wanted to hear the music of my new LS1. I charged it for 18 hours on a 10 amp setting and now it won't start at all. I checked the voltage with a VOM and it says 11 volts. I think I must have a shorted cell? but need some confirmation that I am correct. If this the case, I have heard some info regarding "red" and "Yellow" gel? cell batteries. I hear there is less corrosion (which I have some). If this is true, where can I get the best price in Grand Rapids, Mich and where is the best place to but them. What should the cost be? Brand? What cold cranking amp should I get?
You guys (and gals) ROCK!!!!

) to keep it from dying and when I got home the battery was still a bit low although some short driving got it back to where it should be....so next year if you don't get a trickle charger you may want to consider just starting it up once a week..
