We have received a C6 shifter to compare with both C5 6speed shifters. We have compared the three shifters and measurements are all the same. The C6 shifter should bolt right up with no modifications required! The only thing is the C5 shift **** will NOT fit the C6 shifter so you will also need the C6 shift ****.
We have put a package together with the C6 shifter, C6 shift **** and retainer. The kit retails for 311.89 and we have them for 222.00 plus shipping.
GM has a very limited supply of the shifter and ***** so I know they will hit national backorder status very quick. If you wish to get one as I know many have been waiting; give us a call at 800-234-5284 or email me at parts@fichtnerchevrolet.com

BOB
Good to know Bob, but what is the advantage? How do they compare.
Too much $$! I paid $165.00 for my B&M, re-used stock handle and love it!!
Actually, that's not a bad price if you consider that the ****/retainer probably adds another $50 to the price of the shifter. I wonder if anyone knows what the thread size is for that C6 ****........
I believe that the C6 shift **** is a press-on. There are no threads on the shaft of the shift lever. So the the C5 **** will not work with the C6 shifter assembly.
Also, from what I have heard. The only difference between the C5 and C6 shifter assemblies is the C6 height has been reduced and the remaining improvement (i.e. -shortened throws) was accomplished inside the transmission.
