Z06 TPS on '98 Vert
Bought some used Z06 wheels with sensors and tires. I don't know for sure what year they are but think they are 2001 as they were made in Italy. And if the sensors are also 2001 (#1) will they work on my '98? If so (#2) will they need to be trained for my car. (#3) Is the TPS training in the owners manual? (#4) Any ideas where to get touchup paint? Thanks, Doug

The pressure sensors are different in the 97-99 and can't be made to work. Fred Beans hooked me up with new sensors for my 98 vert when I changed my wheels. They are about $330 - I think for the four. Training the new ones took 60 seconds. Search the forum on how. It's in here somewhere.

97-2000 early sensors are different than late model 2001-2004. They are not able to be interchanged! Dont even try. You will be wasting your time and money. Here is a picture of the late model sensors.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I have to dismount the tires off my Z set and my current chrome wagon wheels and swap the sensors. As far as the DEALER having touch up paint, in reference to Z06 wheels, Argent Silver, they don't have it. Sorry for not making it clearer. Any ideas where to find touch up paint for Z06 wheels in Argent Silver?
