I don't want to sound rude but you're better off talking to a performance shop then asking here. Even performance shops disagree on which style works best.

Subdriver is a member here and he tracks his car in SCCA National events. Look him up and talk to him. I'm sure he can point you in the right direction for you track performance needs.
From what I know (which isn't much), generally, a single pattern cam has the same lobes intake and exhaust. Split pattern favors the exhaust and reverse favors intake. Your cam needs to match the rest of the package. If your using nitrous for intstance, usually a split pattern is used because your having aid on the intake side. If say, your heads and exhaust system flow really well on that side but your intake isn't so great, you might want a reverse pattern to balance out things.
