CLB - DON'T DELAY - its easy
I installed the column lock bypass today after work, took about 30 minutes. Very easy mod - for those who are afraid to do it - don't be...I used the kit from houston corvettes and this link

I have a 2004 Z, built 1/04. Received the washer recall a couple of months ago and while I had it at the dealership, called GM to check for the CLB recall also. They told me they did not show it for my VIN and would not do the work without my VIN being listed on the recall. Not sure if that means they fixed it (I doubt it). I have been driving around for the past five months with the CLB kit in my glovebox. Being the procrastinator that I am, I'm sure you'll be reading one of those @#$$!# posts from me... what to do!

The COH kit even gives you the torx tool to do it with. 5 little screws...pry up the bezel around your ignition key thing and pull the knee cover off. Find the harness on the right underside of your steering column. There are two there. Choose the one with 4 wires (purple, black, orange, green) then follow the instructions. DO IT!!! Stop procrastinating! Post me if you get stuck and need help.
