Not saying it would change anything, but it might. The correlation between IAT values and the engine temps will be different now and may confuse the computer for a while until it inevitably adjusts. Might be faster to reset like is advised after putting an aftermarket cool air intake on the car.
Just a thought.

This forum is yet another great outlet for me, because I have alot of free time with my flying schedule. The vette, the stang and the SS are very good hobbies for me since I love cars. I am new to the C5 community so that is why I ask questions on this site. I am very knowledgable about the Fox body and SN95 stang, and on the Stang websites people ask me for advice, but when they disagree I dont bite their head off. I simply state what I know and leave it at that.
I am terribly sorry that many of you are offended and so easily stirred by my comments about something as simple as a thermostat. I also really am disturbed at how quickly you can label someone as a street racer or a seemingly bad person because they disagree with you. I like to go fast, that is why I became a pilot twenty years ago. And yes I could be called a street racer I guess. If someone pulls up to race at a stop light out on the rural roads where I live, im gonna race them if there are no other cars around. That is just what "I" like to do. It's not right and if I get pulled over I will pay the fine with a smile on my face because I deserved it.
To each his own. I still love you ET because you seem very knowledgeable about our beloved C5's, and I hope you continue to post.

Just can't help it.ET is a good guy and very informative. I've learned from him. He doesn''t have to prove what he says to me because of his background.
