Default Aussie clutch

So who else besides J-Rod/Tommy has this clutch in their car already?

I know quite a few people already have them. I am getting mine put in on MOnday or Tuesday and I cant wait.

For the last year and a half, I have been driving with my crazy chattering Ram clutch thats stiff as hell to boot. It will be a whole new joy to drive my car again I hope.

kumar - make sure you post up your impressions as well. I want this clutch, but I need some feedback. I remember when I got sort of flamed for not wanting to jump on the Exedy bandwagon early on. I don't really have the luxury of waiting very long this time around, though.

Post the results in FI/N20 section also, they have some issues with Excedy over there.

Should be interesting to see how it does in the Vette. I don't think anyone has run one in a Vette for an extended period of time.

The line of folks that have hyped clutches, run from clutches, supported them, attacked them, changed their minds on them, etc., is long and distinguished. Kudos to the fellows that are being the guinea pigs on these -- they ought to get a bonus if it works out. If it doesn't, bummer, and welcome to that line...............

u can contact "washguy" on the forum for information on the clutch as well as the website listed above

I am gonna be making 530-540rwhp NA and looking at a 250 shot. The nitrous is what I am worried about the clutch holding.

Talking to the guys in Australia, they have had a bunch of cars around 700rwhp with this clutch but no one is spraying more than a 200 shot.

So you going to the track next weekend?
Can't wait to see some results. I had a feeling something was going to go bad with the exedy but everyone was jumping on the bandwagon. Guess that's nothing new though.

Good luck with this one kumar. You'll probably be the deciding factor for me whether I get one or not.

We just received one for testing in one of our 434 N/A cars and we have not done any real testing as we are still breaking it in but so far the pedal feels really good and there is zero chatter. If we are happy with the clutch we are going to be selling it. If anyone wants one now we can get one. We should have final impressions in about a week after its fully broken in and will report back..

Will you be taking trade-in's on slightly used Excedy Dual Discs?

I am just gonna put in a lot of stop and go driving on mine + driving it at some different RPM.

I plan to have it broken in at most in 2 days.

My damn mechanic backed out on me I was suppose to have mine in last monday now I am looking for someone to put it in this week--impressive looking clutch--if it holds on Chris's NA cars mine will be no prob for sure--I will post pics of the exedy disk when they come out and I am still pissed I have to go to this expense and trouble--I even have a little custom fab work hooking my headers to the 3" exhaust that is probably going to be a bitch to get around as there is a certain amount of welding involved &^%$*&$#@
