Key Fob problems
My 2000 sat for about 6 months and upon my return the Key Fob was inop and TPS would not function. The dealer wanted 781.00 to fix the TPS problem. Thanks to this website, I was able to reset the TPS with $4.00 worth of magnets from Home Depot. However the Key Fob problem still exists. It accepts the Key Fob from outside the vehicle as well as via the DIC but soon after (10 min or so) the Key Fob no longer works. Thanks in advance

i just solved the exact same problem on mine. buy a new remote. not a used one off ebay either like i did. i went through a new remote battery, another (used) remote, a $300 receiver, and a new car battery, all to find out it was the remote all along.

Your C5 came from the factory with TWO FOBs. If both FOBs are loosing sync frequently, check the DTC codes that are stored in the DIC. If you have a lot of "NO COMMS" codes, your main battery is more than likley low on charge. What codes do you get in the RFA page?
Charge the 12 VDC battery and see if that corrects the problem.
