I have the Battery Tender Plus, which is good for AGM batteries. I think Pep Boys has them on sale this week, although they are also available from the Corvette Museum and you get the museum logo on it as well

Either that or a VDC electronics Battery Minder. You can leave either
of these on and forget about them with no fear of battery damage.
What model / make / amps battery tender does everyone use? My car is driven mostly on the weekends, sometimes every other weekend.......
Thanks
Pick up a battery maintainer at Fleet Farm or Sears for about $20 to $25. They are the exact same internally, and are Shumacher units, as the ones that run 2-3 times as much. Do not leave a charger, trickle or otherwise, on your battery for an extended period of time, as it will not idle down to the monitoring current levels the way a maintainer does. You can leave a maintainer on batteries indefinitely and they will add years to the life of your batteries by keeping them at a high potential all the time. I use them for the Corvette battery, boat batteries and yard equipment batteries.

I picked mine up at Walmart, I think it was 14.99. It is a variable charger from 2 to 6 AMP and charges 6 or 12 volt. It also sitches on and off automatically to avoid overcharging and undercharging. I leave mine on the car if it sits more than a week, just connect it and forget it.
