Fuel tank senders
My car (2002 C-5 )continues to act retarded even after switching to Amoco (BP) 93 octane and using one bottle of techron + one tank og gas then one bottle of Red Line fuel system cleaner + another tank of gas. The another bottle of Red Line fuel system cleaner + another tank of gas.

I don't know about recalls but I am going to talk to my Chevy dealer later today and will let you know what I find out.

Here is something that you can check for free! Examine chassis ground G-401 It is in the rear drivers side wheel well. If you look in between the tire and rear side of the fender wheel you will see a ground stud. This is the ground connection for the sending unit! It gets very dirty and corrodes easily! Use lots of WD-40 and be careful not to break the stud off. if you do it fixable!
Here is a picture of the ground connection! (As you can see, mine broke off and it is replaced with a self tapping screw!
)
Remove the eyelet and clean the frame, eyelet and stud with a wire brush.
See if that solves the problem!

I started using Chevron TechRon concentrated Exclusive Synthetic Formula(120z), resolved my problem. I started by using 1 once a week & backed off to once every 2-3 weeks after a month. No problem since. It's been over 2yrs. My approach was more agressive cause I fill up at once a day or more depending on how I drive.
The other cleaners didn't help what so ever. I don't know why Chevron works, but I've tried others with plus w/o synthetic & they just didn't work. Synthetic works best.
I guess I'll start by checking the ground... as I am sound proffing the wheel wells this weekend. I'll see if that corrects my problems.
