and you are it.....anyone who would start a thread like this and argue yes argue, debate or whatever you want to call it with everyone who disagrees with you is an azz......why don't you go back and look at the other people who also said you were arguing with them?? I am not the only one telling you that I think it is a waste of time. Actually talking to you is a waste of time...isn't it time to go change your filter again??

Not sure HAstings are really any different but Amsoil swears that they are. Both are made at the same plant in Nebraska
I'll stick with Amsoil filters just in case.

Hastings, Baldwin, and Amsoil are all made in Nebraska by Clarcor http://www.clarcor.com/

is this the energizer bunny thread.
it keeps going and going.
I suspect that most think changing just the filter is just plain stupid.
but if the guy wants to do that then, well , so be it just seems stupid to for the guy to be that cheap
maybe he knows something we don't

Better get this in before the mods lock this one down...

Thanks for the info. I learned something!

In support of your claim, I too have been told that the AMSOIL SDF line of filters has a special Cellulose, Synthetic and Glass Blend Media which is not the same as other media in Hastings or Baldwin products. So though they are apparently made by the Baldwin division of Clarcor for AMSOIL, they do not have the same internal filtering media as other Hastings or Baldwin products... as far as I know.
