Default Codes after header install

Hello,

I installed a set of FLP long tubes a couple of weekends ago. Now I am getting code P0140 and P1415. I know these point to the AIR system bank 1, but I am wondering what I need to do to resolve the problem? I am using O2 simms in place of the rear O2 sensors, could this be the problem? Any ideas?

TIA,

Jeff

Yep my dynatechs threw those codes after being installed as well along with a check engine light although the car was running perfectly. I was told that the codes resulted from the front 02 sensors being located farther down the headers than stock. Dont know if this is true. Regardless, as long as the car is running properly and there are no signs of problems such as no oil pressure, temps are all normal, car accelerates fine, then just clear the codes. I was advised to clear the codes. After clearing, the codes did not come back.

Thanks for the reply. I cleared the codes, but they keep coming back. Guess I need to get to a tuner and have the codes removed? Anyone else have this problem and a solution?

Thanks

Default Codes??? AAAHHHHHHHHH!!!

Who knows?, Although I do remember the similar situation being fixed (right here in the FORUM) by making sure that "the right sensor hooks up to the left side! and the left sensor hooks up to the right side! Its just one (out of billions) of the possibilitys but,,,,, It did it for me
