Programmer needed for cooler Thermostat?
Do you have to use a programmer of some sort to reprogram the fans when running a 160 degree thermostat? Or, can you just throw the stat on and let the car figure it out?

What year is your car? I have a Hypertech III for a 2000 C5, that's been returned to stock, because I'll be getting an LS1 Edit performed after several mods. Let me know if you're interested.

You don't have to re-program but it makes sense to do it. It helps keep the engine cooler which is your objective.
Mine are set at 210 and 195. Shuts off at 185. I normally run 180 on the highway when it's 95/100 degrees. When the sun goes down it will run about 175. But in traffic or racing I need the fans.
