I'm not really part of this debate however, I would suggest that if racing teams are using slotted/crossdrilled rotors... it does not mean they are the best or most durable. Many parts of a vehicle in a race car maybe considered expendable in the racing world... that would not be in the daliy driver world. A racing teams defination of "best part for the job" is mostly likely different than that of a street driven car.
Given what we know about over the counter products available for the Vette today, and their records for success and failure in various circumstances is all that should be used for the poster to get his answer. So I guess we have gone off topic of his question. He wants to know what might be best for his car.... and we are discusing what is best for dedicated racing cars in an expendable environment.
Interesting thread... I like watching the pro's battle it out

Seems that every brake thread turns out the same. I respect everyone of you guys and all but dont you think we have had these discussions too many times before?
For Kevins application, I believe a set of Napa rotors for $25 each will fit his needs.
I would have to agree with you that similarities & dis-similaries between racing and the street. I think we are debating and just posting info.
Yes, Napa's will work fine on the street.
***But so well Euradispeeds(They are much lighter).
***996 Rotors,
ZMI's thin wafer,
Wilwood Superlights
Brembo's
Red Devil Titanium
Alcon Ceramics
etc.,etc..
***For the street performance/some track/acceleration/looks/value I favor these.
You can certainly spend money...Does anyone want to donate some Alcon Ceramics to a good cause($6,400 for rotors). I want to put these on my next Z06.
Steve, yes, circles... Debate will never end. And the irronic thing is, once you have a great setup, you will always be eyeballing better setups...WTF
