I cleared my codes in my 99 last fall when I bought the car. since then I have had A c1281 code (STEERING SENSOR UNCORRELATED MALFUCTION).. A U1040 ( Loss of communications with PCM). And 2 more which I can't find any info on B1001 and a U1088. Should I worry about any of these codes? Just clear them again? Take to the dealership? The car runs fine. No problems that I can tell..

I had SIGNIFICANT electrical problems on my 98 coupe. The ROOT cause was corroded chassis grounds! Once I had a firm grasp on what was going on and I cleaned ALL of the chassis grounds, all of my electrical problems were resolved!
I wrote a forum post on "Important Electrical Information (long) a while ago and it explained how to clean your grounds! It has solved many C5 Corvette Forum Members Electrical issues! See if you can find it in search.
If not let me know!
Your UXXXX codes normaly indicate loss of communications codes resulting from LOW Voltage on that module. All of my U codes were the result of a bad ground! Before you go to the dealer and spend tons of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, chack and clean your grounds!
