Window Regulator Front Channel Mounting Nut - When you loosen this nut, the threaded shaft can slide back in forth at least an inch in a slotted channel. If you move the rod to one end of the channel the window tips out. If you move the rod to the other end of the channel the window tips in. Nowhere in the instructions does it tell you how to position this rod before tightening the Window Regulator Front Channel Mounting Nut. The instructions only direct you to adjust the jack screw under the reflector for window tip in and tip out. Can anyone offer some guidance here?
I can tell you that... when multiple people flip you off while driving down Highway 1.... you are bound to have window allignment problems as a result...
I've adjusted mine and can add this: Adjust the jack screw a minimal amount to achieve movement in the direction you desire. The rod your talking about, I believe wherever it ends up after adjusting the jack screw is where you leave it.
Steve, unfortunately we had our top down that day we followed you up the coast and there was nowhere to hide from the upset drivers who were blocking our path. Pam tried to crawl under her seat, but there was no sanctuary from their verbal assaults. They had a lot of nerve driving on our road.
That's interesting because if I adjust it to one side, instead of where it position on its own, a get a better seal. Right now I believe I have used up all my adjustment with the jack screw under the reflector. The only why to get a tight seal is to move the window regulator threaded rod all the way to one side.
