One of my tinters at my dealership taught me this trick.

1) Make sure the day that you perform this is a very warm day.
2) Buy a box of large BLACK plastic trash bags.
3) Roll your windows down a little (you will roll them back up)
4) Spray (douse) the inside of your windows with water.
5) Spay water on one side of the plastic bag.
6) Press the wet side of the bag against the inside (wet) of the
window and roll the window back up. For the non moveable windows, tape the bag in place
7) Put the car in the direct sunlight and let it set for a couple of hours.
8) Remove the plastic bag and the sheet of tint will fall right off.
9) Take some windex and clean the windows. YOUR ALL DONE!!!!!!!

The water, heat, and black plastic bag cause condensation to build up beneath the tint allowing it to fall right off in one big piece.

**IMPORTANT**It must be a warm day out and you must let the car sit for 2-4 hours.

Hope this helps, It works great every time I try it.

Jeff

That is the way to do it. It is called sweating the tint. You can use a razor blade on your side windows for faster clean up but stay away from the rear window. You can ruin the defroster. Sweating the tint is the only way I have ever seen tint removed without messing up the defroster.

The water and black bag trick worked great. Left it in the Florida sun for 3 hours and pulled it right off. Took about 30 minutes to get the glue off. Worked great on the back window of my coupe. Thanks for the tip.

It's been 35% for a while in GA, at least since summer 2003 when I got mine done. Had to pay cash to get 20%.
