Default Caliper torque

What is the recommended torque for the bolts connecting the the caliper bracket to the spindle and the bolts that connect the caliper to the bracket?

Caliper Mounting Bracket Bolt: 125 lb ft
Caliper Guide Pin Bolt : 23 lb ft

The color actually depends on the BRAND. All are not the same. You want the thread-lock that does not require heat to break.


LOCTITE brands: 242 blue = temporary and removable (you want this)
271 red & 680 green = permanent and can only be removed with heat. Trust me, getting red LOCTITE brand off is a BEAR!

The post above is why. I don't think you're in trouble, it will just be more difficult the next time you take them off. If you have to take them off just heat them up real good.
