I only picked up 1-2 peak hp, but I did pick up 12 ft-lb of torque, which you can really feel.

I was expecting to be at 340 RWHP with long tube headers, exhaust, BPP intake and a dyno tune, but I am only at 330 RWHP. Torque is good at 342 ft-lb.

So, I would try the LG's if I had it to do over.

I've owned Dynatech headers. Pm me for questions.

P.S. You may want to rethink your decision about the Kooks.

Default headers

I put mine on last week, did it myself no trouble at all. The sound going through the Borlas is awesome. I did not have any codes or leaks great fit and finsh. I got them from corvette garage. I ordered them on tuesday and had them on sat. Great price also.

Can't speak for the Kooks, but he LGMs will make more peak from what Iv'e seen. Under the curve they are pretty close, with a slight torque edge under 4,000 to the DT's.

I think the LGs are about the best you can buy, if you can afford it.

I would not hesitate to use either one, unless you are in competitive events I doubt your SOTP will notice.

Best objective critique on the DT's and LGM's I've seen to-date. That subject always creates quite a heated thread

I dont understand how the LG's are that much diff then the dynatechs.....Arent the dynatechs a replica of the LG's? Why would they make more power in excess of 5+ more hp?

No, the DTs are NOT a replica of LGs. Both DT & LG's headers are very similar - but the rest of LG's system is quite unique. They have their Xpipe before the metal matrix cats (Randon Tech) and then a split to the cat backs. DT use ceremic matrix cats. Also, LG use 3inch pipes all the way through - vs 2.5 inch in DT and Kooks.

Kooks headers are MUCH shorter than either LG or DT and are a PITA to install because of where the collectors are.

SO - if you have the ground clearance and $$$$, get LG's system. I went with the Dynatech for 2 reasons : 1> Ground clearance and 2> Price

If I had both the GC and $$$, I would get LGs in a heartbeat.

Last year when new, the lower mounting ears didn't line up well with the bell housing mount so when tightened they stressed the headers resulting in leaks at the head. Last week I installed new gaskets and tightened the header to head bolts first; two small washers at the bottom compensate for the offset so the stresses should be gone.

That is terrific news

The workmanship is awesome. If you don't mind my asking..... why 1 7/8??

FWIW the KOOKS system does NOT use a 2 1/2 inch X pipe. It is a 3 inch X pipe which goes to 2 1/2 well after the catalytic converters to attach to most stock and aftermarket systems. But the X pipe itself is made of 3 inch pipe. There is another option which uses a 3 inch X pipe which does not go to 2 1/2 inches.

Don't mind at all sir, after I sign on my new house.....I will be doing a AFR 225's, Twin STS rear mount T-76GTS/s and all kinds of other crap. That's why I really wanted the 1 7/8".

I can't F^%KING believe this! They sent me a X-pipe for a C F'ing 6 not a C5 X-pipe after placing my order on April 11th! Its days like this that I really want to use my CHL to freaking kill someone! I can't understand how they can stay in business like this. I "WAS" going to send them my wife's '02 WS6 for the 427 cid package but no way in hell will I EVER do business with them again!! Incase you're counting...in 3 day it will be 2 MONTHS since my intial order!!

Again, sorry for the rant!!

That really sucks man. So you went with the Kooks after all instead of the Dynatechs,,and now the vendor sent you the wrong X-pipe for the kooks..man that is bad luck. I hope you get it resloved quickly and all works out for the best.

Good luck

Thank you sir. I called them last week to cancel and go with the Dynatech's and somehow they "found" one and sent it to me!! Of course they sent me something I didn't need.....not even applies to my car!
I'm looking for the ICBM Launch buttons right now......
