Default ? about porting LS 2 TB

I am having MTI install the FAST 90 mm intake and LS 2 TB on Saturday. I purchased the TB from Fred Bean and I have it at home. I was looking at it and it looks like there is a lip that could be smootheb out with a dremel. Should I do this, or is it likely that I mich just screw something up?

The lip is there for a reason. You will screw up your idle airflow, your idle transition airflow, and your startup flare.
Also, do you or MTI have the plug that mates to the TB? They are ~$90 and you can't buy them anywhere.

From research i did a couple years ago, i found out there is a very slight gain to be had, maybe!! In some cases they lost hp by playing with the TB....

We carry the proper connectors you require here.

We manufacture a direct-fit, wire color coded O.E.M. type LS2 T.B. pigtail connector that incorperates an actual O.E.M. LS2 throttle body connector for the C5 Corvette/F.A.S.T. retrofit. They appear and fuction completely as O.E.M. and the wire color coding are of the exact same gauge a color also, unlike the O.E.M. connector pigtail you get from a dealer that has big, bulky, ugly, white wire colors for all leads that don't match the engine harness colors properly.

The cost is $45 for the complete kit that includes detailed, photo-enhanced wiring connection instructions and we have them in stock now. Let us know if your interested.

I got the GM harness from Fred Bean when I ordered the TB. MTI told me that is what I needed.... (?)

Mine was ported. But I didn't look, so I don't know where it was reamed. And I have nothing to compare too. But my car Idles fine at 750 RPM.

Andy hard wired (soldered) mine... in my one day H/C install. It works great....no problems. But I might get one of these from you and have it installed.

Also what do you guys recommed for the valve cover (passenger side) vent tube. There is no place to connect to the LS2 throttle body.

Thanks,

DH

I wish I would've known that yesterday. We could have bought 2 of yours for what we paid for ours.
