85 RWHP is a very impressive gain for long tube headers

He was being sarcastic...making fun of how everyone claims that one header may or may not make "tons" of more rwhp than another brand

At least I hope he was being sarcastic and does not truely believe his own

There are a number of them out there, and peak HP may not be the best header. I think the peak HP with any of these headers are going to be close, you need look at other factors as well. Ease of installation, construction, weight, etc.

I went with the QTP's which are the only stainless Tri-Y header made for the C5, this after almost a year of research. Do your homework, everyone here likes what they have on their car but the very same headers may not be what you are looking for. One thing for sure, we are very fortunate to have so many to choose from both in construction and design.

Good luck with your choice

So much so that I deleted that message for fear of anyone taking it seriously.

Dynatechs! I got over 85rwhp with the Dynatech Supermaxx Headers. Then I took it to LPE and got a couple more. Oh yeah, the 85plus-rwhp was without a tune!
Look at his signature, this isnt a stock C5...he has some cam work done on there, explaining why opening the exhaust would free up major horses...Maybe 85 is a lot but I saw gains of 50+ horse when I threw headers on my large cammed 1968 firebird 400

You question my integrity??? I think it was the fact that I did a superior job on the installation of the headers. Some folks just don't know how to install them. I did a PERFECT job!!!

Those would be Kooks on that very fast Cartek car.

Those QTPs look good too though.

I was back and forth between Kooks and QTPs, but I've decided that if and when I swap out my TTS headers, I'm going with a set of the QTP Tri-Ys.
