Can anybody tell me about those fancy doors that open straight up? Will they go on a vett?

I can tell you they belong on a Lamborghini JMHO.

But yes, they do have kits for converting your vette doors to scissor types. I have no idea on $$

Anyway, if you want to get a good look at some of the stuff available and see it on actual corvettes, you might want to plan a trip to "Corvettes at Carlisle" in PA. Think it is in August, need to check myself. Im not a big fan of scissor doors or whale tales, but the retractable tops, especially for the Z06 are way cool.

All it takes is money.... Good Luck!

I've got a buddy who has them. Let me just say, they aren't for me.

They are not true Lambo style straight up, they need to be opened a little like a normal door (6 inches) then kind of rotated up and away.

I really like them and would like to convert into the lambo doors but have heard good/bad things about doing it. Would have to really see them on a corvette in person first as I've heard if you are tall then your legs have trouble swinging out of the car. I'm 6'4" and would hate to spend all the money and time on them only to find out I can't get out of my car.

The other bad thing would be worrying about the car after leaving it at a dealer. I go through that with my Bricklin (trying to teach people how to open the doors without breaking them when I'm not around).

Jeff
