Portable XM
Has anybody done a install of a portable XM satellite radio on their C5? Wife got me one for my B-day and I wondered if anyone had tackled this yet and had any inside info.

Yep. I have a Roady 2 in my C5. Route the antenna as you see fit. I mounted my antenna on the dash up by the front of the passenger dash area by the windshield. Haven't had any static/cut-out issues. The only "decent" place that I found to mount the roady 2 was by the active handling button. I tried the ash tray area (which limits access to the toggle switch), and considered the cup holder (but I enjoy having access to my cupholder) so I ultimately decided that the area by the active handling button (secured with velcro) was the best for me. Power supply is in the console right there, so very little of the wires are actually visible.

I just got the ROADY 2 as well. Tried it on my first road trip this week. Works great. I do have other cars that I might want to put it in, so I needed to have it removable. I bought a power "splitter" that takes the one lighter plug and splits it into 2 jacks. Its solid plastic. I drilled 4 holes in the mounting plate of the radio and zip-tied it to the body of the splitter, so the radio and plug are one piece. Now I just plug it into the lighter and run the antenna wire.
