dealer told me up to 40lbs......I had 30 cold and when it warmed up I was getting a slight vibration....added 4 lbs. and now the vibe is gone.
Anyone else have anything to say about it?

You should have the vibration checked and/or tired re-balanced. Your excess inflation is masking another problem. Correct tire pressure is determined by THE CAR, not the tires. Check your door sticker (driver's door). Chevrolet determined optimum pressure based on vehicle factors. Door sticker will indicate COLD pressure.
The mfg determined tire pressure is a combination of car, tires, mileage etc. and does not necessarily hold true across different tire types. Especially if the Kuhmos in question are non-runflats.
I agree though, that the vibration should be checked.
I run ~32 cold in my Kuhmo MXs for street, and ~34 cold for track duty.
30 lbs on the street shows a good treadwear pattern on the Kumho MX. Anyhting higher tended to wear the centers of the tire first.
On a roadcourse 36 cold for all but the RR which is 34 cold worked for me.
I was running 30 cold until I noticed my Khumo's wearing too much right in the middle. Now I run at 28 cold. They heat up to 31-32. And I get better straight-off the line traction.
Them telling you up to 40lbs is another case for getting another tech/service writer at that dealership or a different dealer.
Like said above you need to have that tire or tires rebalanced. Sounds like the dealer might be putting you off on the rebalance by having you adjust air pressure.
Are you running the kuhmo MXs or the new runflats?
I just got Kumho ASXs last month and I run them at 30 psi and they heat up to 31-32 psi. I ran them at the track 2 weeks ago and lowered the pressure to 25 psi which heated up to 30 after a few runs.

MXs non runflats....and I probably need an alignment as soon as I can get to Butler.....the vibe was the road....I finally got on better pavement and it was ok...but I added air anyway.....now, the GY runflats that are on the other car has 36 lbs. of pressure...got to go look at the door.
30/30 cold per my door label for my non-runflat ASX's Mine run very smooth and quiet w/ no signs of uneven wear after I had it realigned when I got the new Kumho's in January at 30K miles.
