Stock ZO6 pads offer the best brakeing performance you can get on stock calipers and rotors. Brake dust is not a problem for me; I love to wash and wax my ZO6 at least once every two weeks or so. More like once a week!
Cearmic pads are ok if you are gentle on braking and dont like dust. If you get on your brakes once in a while stay away from ceramics. they are terible for hard and good stopping abilties and can take up to 5% LONGER to stop your car.
the Stock ZO6 pads are about the best pad on the market and yes they will fit the standard C5 and C6 brake caliper, which are all made by PBR in Australia.
Rember to propelry bed in the new pad on the rotor. Just driving around and gently useing your brakes for a few 100 miles WILL NOT do it.
Bedding or pads or rotors:
find a nice quite no traffic straight road.
do a few 40 to 5 mph stops or slow downs
then do a 4 or 5 80 to 5 -10 mph stops, get on the brakes hard, almost to activate abs but not quite.
then do a few 100 to 20 mph stops, one right after the other.
Remeber straight line braking only. No curves.
then drive around for 30 to 40 min and try to not use your brakes to allow the rotors, pads and calipers to cool down.
Put your car away for 24 hours to finish the cooling process.
ppl that say they never go over the speed limit will not properly bed in their brake pads and rotors. these high speed stops are very important to transerfer brake pad material to the rotor for brakes to work properly. These high speed stops also help you learn car control if, hopfully never, that you need to do an emergancy stop.
Nice shinny rotos may look cool, but stop wirth chit.
Be safe out there.

04' ZO6 pads on the way for my 97'............new NAPA rotors on the bench.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
NAPA rotors are $25-$27 each Dont be taken by some compaines claim that there are better or they have a RED box or Drilled and SLotted stop better so they can charge BIG BIG bucks, dont fall for that.
Drilled and slotted rotors do look cool, but one is not better then the other. No they dont stop better and should never be used on road race track day. They crack under hard use.
NAPA rotors are $25-$27 each...
Absolutely true. If you want the looks, get whatever you like. If you want to stop, stick with the plain jane rotors. If you want to see what racers are using, don't look at drag racers. They're working on getting the mass down, and they have loads of time for their brakes to cool after a run. Instead, check out road racers, NASCAR, IRL, etc. You'll find most run with what look like small crescent moon shapes, very few will run slots, and none run drilled rotors.
HTH, and have a good one,
Mike
