Prosec - I have the same exact susp., et al. Almost 40K now as well.
I think if you give it a couple of weeks, THEN have a 4 wheel alignment done ... you may notice the difference. That's the same thing that I experienced and the alignment solved it for me. My car was rides (to this day) like it's on glass. I di mine in late Sept. '04
the shocks or the suspension may be sitting on rubber stops ( i remember another post referring to possibly removing or cutting them). I did the same (lowered the car, not anything with the rubber stops) and it felt nasty.. but I replaced the shocks with bilstein sports and would never go back. Ride is firmer for sure..
I just got my car last week. FRC 2000. Black. The seller told me that it was already lowered. I don have a frame oif reference to know if it is or not. And the ride is a little stiff. I really feel the road. But then again, this is my first vet so I don’t have a frame of reference either for just how smooth a vet should ride. I dont mind how it feels. Am just glad I finally got my dream car.
Reading it being lowered, is there a standard height between the wheel and the car? If so, what is it so that I can measure it and determine if its lowered or not. The car does look low and it looks great. Just want to verify it for my own curiosity's sake.
when you lower the car, you cut down on the suspension travel. Either you bottom out and look good or you raise it back up and get some movement out of the suspension again.
ching.. ching...

I lowered mine on my 2000 c5 with 40,000miles it looks good and I have not noticed any difference in ride comfort! I saydo it! Stock lowering only.
Z06 shocks won't make too big of a difference. I did it and it still rides like crap! On the other hand, it looks great! It's your choice, if you want the car to ride smoother, you can can always raise it back to the stock off-roading height.

I lowered my car with stock bolts and ride suffered for sure, BUT I got bilstien sports shocks and they helped a lot. It still sin't quite as smooth as stock, but i never bottom out.
When you do things it is always a trade off. In this case Looks vs. Ride Quality
Good Luck!
