Default Remote Problem

The Remote on the C5 I just purchased was working great and then just stoped. Nothing works Doors, Hatch, Panic button. Is that the way it does when the battery go's bad. Just stops no warning ? Is there any fuse anywhere for the remote? Just found out how to reset it and it worked. No more problem

Your FOB and tire pressure sensors work off the same module Remote Function Actuator (RFA) if your TPS were working when the fob died, it would not be a fuse related problem. Your RFA module is monitored and any DTC (trouble codes) codes can be viewed in the DIC. Read the codes and see if there any. I bet you see a bunch of U 1000 series codes. Those codes indicate that your cars battery is having reserve capicity issues!

On the other hand, if there are NOT any codes, the FOB can get weak and sometimes the FOBs do go bad and yours may just be on it's last leg.

First step is to read the DTC codes. Write them down and clear them. post the results here. The next time the FOB fails, check the codes again and post the results.
