Default iv got problems.... my wheel FELL OFF!!!

Ok just kidding, but today I was backing out of a parking spot turning to the right then pulled forward turning the wheel back to the left and I heard a loud pop. I managed to repeat it again doing the same exact thing. What is it and what should I do? The car has 65k on the original z51 suspension parts. O and it is lowered completely on stock bolts.

I think you should jack it up (safely. of course) and take a look underneath. Don't wait too long; it could be serious or simple, but you won't know for certain until you look.

I'm thinking some movement in the control arm. Have seen this in one of my previous vehicles.

Could be a wheel bearing!! Have some one sit in the drivers seat, start the car and have them turn the steering wheel slightly left and slightly right. While they are diong that, you can examine all of the suspension points for any lost motion and worn componets. Use a light to get a good look!! Then you can jack up the front and check the wheel bearings for excessive play. If you pry the top & bottom of the wheel inward and outward, there should be almost ZERO movement of the rire and rim!

Then make sure that your sway bar mounting brackets are tight.

That will just about take care of the front end.
