I have heard that they will but you have to bend or move the EGR and something about the oil dipstick. I do not have experience with this personal so maybe some one else will chime in. TTT
You will need to have the EGR fitting moved (welded in a new location). If they are stainless, it will be a brease for a welding shop. You just need to remove it from its present location and fill that hole, make a new hole and weld the fitting in the new location.
As for the dip stick, I would guess that you can purchase a later model dip stick and bolt it in place.
you can buy a 2001+ AIR tube @ the dealer...
it connects behind the intake manifold to the existing plumbing. This will look stock and will be easier than cutting up your headers and can be easily reversed.
the dipstick can be connected to the AIR fitting by cutting the tab and drilling a hole for the bolt that connects the AIR tube to the header.

so this is all i will need to do to make it work. i got a great deal on a set of headers off a 2002 c5. have you done this mod before or do you think it should work in theory?
I am speaking from direct experience.......
I ordered a set of Dynatechs and had them coated. After installing them I noticed the AIR tube was on #5 cyl. instead of #7 where it is on the stock manifolds. The wrong header was in the right box..
I ordered an AIR tube and dipstick for a 2001+.(about $80 CDN.)
I removed the intake and the rest of the plumbing and threaded the new tube into the fitting.
It worked perfectly.
The new dipstick did not work.It sat way too high.
I think that the oil pan might be different on the 2001+ cars.....I ended up modifying the old one.
I can e-mail before and after pics if you like

thanks i really needed this info. you can send the pics to taugust@hotmail.com
molson, nice info on the dipstick, i've done a few header installs recently(kooks and dynatechs on 2k's,01's, and 02 z06's)and noticed the air tube location/dipstick location difference on the 97-2000 vs 2001-2004, wasn't aware of the oil pan being different in 01>; also as molson stated these are air tubes(injected by compressor behind bumper cover on dr. side during start-up to get the cats up to temp)and not egr tubes, only the early f-body ls1's had egr
