Default Technical update on towing, lifting, jacking

I was not aware but my recent towing experience lead to information that if you towing, lifting, or jacking your c5 you need to open the doors of the car. Several people who complete these services for a daily job stated both doors need to be open so the car can flex and when the car doors are closed there is a change for cranking problems.
Sounds strange, but i started to check and various sources agreed about the doors being open.

I know that was the case for earlier corvette models, I haven't heard that about the C5.

That was a C4 problem. Nothing to worry about on our cars; the frame is quite a bit stiffer.

Should that read "chance for cracking problems"?
