My engine started making an odd vibration a few weeks back and I determined the wobbley balancer is the cause. Can anyone recommend an aftermarket performance Harmonic Balancer Pulley for my 2000 Corvette? Thank you in advance.

I went with ASP underdrive pulley..nice unit, many vendors have it, check prices. I bought mine from TBYRNE MOTORSPORTS
I'm planning to replace the pulley myself, with the help of a mechanic friend. Is this not something I should do? What is involved? You make it sound as though the motor needs to come down... Sorry, I'm no mechanic!
ck ls1howto.com, i recently helped out w/ a cam install(englandgreen)and used the 3 finger autozone puller; the st. rack need's to be rem'd to facilitate bal. removal, details on rack rem'l covered under site in intro, any other ?'s send me a pm or post
To replace the pulley you have done 75% of the labor required to put in a cam, ported oil pump, valve springs and upgraded timing chain. In order to remove the pulley you must clear the front of the engine including power steering,PS cooler and the steering rack, fans and radiator.Read this, it will give you an idea. http://ls1howto.com/index.php?article=4
The worst part of changing out the pulley is putting it back on. To do it right, you need a flywheel locking tool and a tool made by GM to seat the pulley without relying on the crank threads to pull it on (like the bolt method most people use).
