K&N Help
Just realized I installed the K&N into my C5 air box without the gasket included. The diagram for the filter looks to me like a Z28 air box in the picture.
Will suction alone not keep the filter snug?

OMG - Do not do this at night people. I got to where I could apply the gasket to the plastic intake base. Then realized those stupid metal bands had to get back around the intake cover. 
Well, that can not be done. After 3 hours of sweating buckets over the car, I realized there is no way to re-apply those metal bands around the cover and clip to the base. No room for your hands.
So I got mad and ripped the whole cover thing off, and a light came on
The cover does not need to be bolted to the hood. I can just sit there held into place by a dozen other things.
DO NOT BUY A FLAT K&N FILTER. This whole ordeal is rediculous. May as well go for the dual cone setup or something.
And they must intend for air to get to the engine from the slot in the hood (after sticking my hand in there for 2 hours) How stupid. Atleast the Camaro has about 4 feet of open air under the car to breathe.
I want a supercharger. Fudge all this bending over to increase airflow.
