Default 180 thermostat

I have an 02 vert with Vortex Air but no engine mods yet.

Heard a good mod is a 180 thermostat and that the stock 98 Camaro SS with the LS1 will do the trick Any other suggesions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have any pics or directions on how to install it??

Thanks,
Mike

Just go over to Rogers shop and pick-up the proper Hypertec thermostat. I think he stocks them. It's a 20 minute quickie install.

Two 10mm bolts and pull the bottom housing where the lower radiator hose connects to the engine. Super easy.

Thanks Phillip: Are you saying that all I need to do is find the lower radiator hose and the thermostat sits between it and the engine?? Will I have to drain and refill the coolant?

Thanks,
Mike
