my 00 went psyco on me. I noticed that the drivers door controls were not working. Window, memory, lock nothing. Than while driving all the bells and whistles went off. Temp maxed out every message you can think of on the DIC showed up. Check everything light up. If I turn off the car everything resets. But sooner or later it happens again. Does anybody have an answer? Thanks
Sounds very similar to the symptoms many here have seen when their battery was getting ready to go south on them. Have yours tested.
Also, if your '00 model car still has the original factory battery, you might want to check out the following from the C5 Tech Tips section of the Forum: 1997 - early 2001 Battery Acid Leakage Issue.
The AC-Delco Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) battery mentioned in the Tech Tip as posssible replacement has been discontinued. However, both Optima (Red & Yellow Top) and Excide (Select Orbital Series) make AGM replacement batteries that fit the C5.

You had a case of a WET passengers foot well! The water comes from condensation from running the AC or defrost.
Remove the toe board and this is what you will see:
The Body Control Module ( BCM ) is to the left of the Fuse Box.
The silver box in the pic is the Body Control Module (BCM)! That is what is going CRAZY because it got wet! If it keeps getting wet, you will be getting a new one!!!! $$$$$$$
Here are a few pictures of the drain tube that gets clogged up and causes the HVAC air box to drip water into the passengers foot well.
The flash light beam is shinning on the area on the fire wall where the fitting is attached.
This is the 90 degree rubber drain tube attached to the fire wall:
RECOMMENDATION!
Jack the car up so that you can get under the front of the car (Jack Stands are a MUST!)
If you still have the stock exhaust, the fitting is EASY to get to! Remove it and snip off the crimped end. Reinstall it and you wont have to worry about it any more. The newer cars dont have a crimped nipple!
If you have any questions, please let me know.
