I know the ups and downs of removing the MAF screen, and cutting out the huge bar in the middle of the unit, But I wanted to do that today. The problem is I thought I could take off the 4 screws that hold together the MAF housing with an allen wrench, but you cant. It takes a T-25 tool
Where can I get a T-25 tool, so I can screw up my car !!
The screws are TORX screws and you need a TORX bit or TORX bit screwdriver. You should be able to find them at Sears or most any automotive or hardware store. You can buy TORX tools individually or in sets.
If you need help locating simple tools like Torx bits, I would say that you are lacking the basic mechanical skills necessary to be screwing with your car in the depth that you are currently considering.
TAKE THIS FROM EXPIERENCE!!!!!!!! If you screw with the MAF and the air flow going through it, You WILL have performance issues!! That is not to say that you cant fix the problems. That will require a tune!! If you think you need more air flow and want to alter the MAF, be prepaired to spend the bucks to tune it!!!
What MOD's do you have to support the need for more air flow? The stock MAF will support way more HP than most bolt on mods will offer!

I see bad things happening if you persist.

I asked the better members on here where to get a tool.
I went back and checked your threads, and if you like to keep making stupid remarks to everyone on the forum, you'll be throw off before your soon to be new wife can give you a tissue.
normal forum members, the bar I was talking about is NOT the sensor bar. Its the air direction bar. it's part of the port and polishing of the housing.

I'm sorry I made you pout. I'm glad you are checking my threads. Like most of the other members in this forum have said, in agreement with my remark, leave it alone.
The tool you are talking about is a simple item that anyone proficient in turning a wrench would know where to find. I deduced that your general lack of knowledge regarding tools should be a fair warning to you in using them on something you seem to know very little about.
Opinions are welcomed by most of the people on this board, including "disagreeing" or "differing" opinions. I'll put you on my "ignore" list so as not to ruffle your panties again.
