Were these working before you changed the batteries?
Are you sure you have the correct FOB's for your vehicle? They are different for some of the different years. If you've followed the directions in the owners manual and put new batteries in them, I'd verify that you have the correct FOB's.
You would probably receive more helpful responses if you included some basic information in you profile...
they did not work before I changed the batteries. I followed the procedure for programming. I just bought the car and the fobs came with it. Not sure how to verify the correct fob. The car is a 97. The fob has the passive entry option on it.
If you have the correct FOB's and they're not functioning, you might check them against someone else's '97. If they then work, it's time to start troubleshooting your car. Check the easy stuff first, no matter how unlikely it seems.
Do your Tire pressure Sensors work?? The RFA Module receives TPS and FOB signals and transmitts that data to the BCM.
If your TPS work, it is most likley a FOB issue. Do you have any DTC codes stored in the DIC? Your BCM and RFA modules wiil throw DTC codes that can piont us in the right direction to help you figure out how to fix the issue.
