Had anyone converted to high intensity discharge lights yet? If so, what path did you choose (non pop up projectors, stock lenses, european coversion)? Do you have any pictures and a step by step how-to? I'm looking into doing this, I've driven in a HID equipped car, and now I've seen the light and I can't go back!
I got mine from mike @ www.xenonking.com for $270, a good price (I think ). They are very easy to install, plug and play. Replace the bulb, mount the ignitors and ballasts with double sided tape, and fire them up. Because I used the stock headlight assemblies the beam pattern isn't as good as a factory installed and designed HID but they are SOOOO MUCH BETTER than the stock POS lights, you can't believe it.

How long have you had them?
MY POS kit blew up in 5 months
t 84s with high wattage bulb upgrade 10x better than stock and only costs 350 to do the whole thing
also dont have to worry about police pulling you over for illegal lights
I did the 9005 bulb conversion. Cost <$40 for silverstars. Puts out 3400 lumens vs. 2000 stock. Bigtime improvement.
how does this work?
I was looking at the 9005 bulbs, they dont have the coating on the tip, so I was thinking it would natuarlly be brighter. But the connector looked very different.
did you mod the connector, or build a converter piece?
I had the rev extreme kit. one bulb went out. but the bulb looked ok, so I swapped the good bulb over to the bad bulb, and it went out. I sent it back and they were going to check it out. they basically said they would get me a new updated set of ballasts and bulbs, but there has been a few delays and it has been a long time. I now generally feel any cheap kit is a POS. just checking to see what others are getting for life of the system.

I did the same mod, well worth it.. Basically you trim w/ a dremel the base tabs to match the low-beam base. Fairly easy to do if you are mechanically inclined.

See this thread for information about doing this mod and what my results were:
Give it a shot, it's cheap or FREE if you mod your stock high beams.
I did this mod and I am fairly happy with it.
I got the 9005 silvanias, and I heated a screwdriver and melted down the connector tabs inside the headlight connector. I did both in about 10 minutes and had them in 3 mins later.
