Thinking about going catless, bought my 97 from my bank car was stripped of the complete exhaust. Bought a zo6 system from another board member, however it is mising the cats as well as the h pipe. I talked to a local muffler shop the guy said he could make it work, i assume he will be make the custom pipes he needs my ? which 02's have to be replaced and if i dont what problems will i encounter

If you go catless you will need to either put in rear sims or edit out the rear O2 sensors. You might want to try and pick up an entire exhaust, many people sell them cheap because they are large to store. Then is it just a simple bolt on.

I agree!! Your not going to gain too much without cats and the smell of the exhaust bothers some people to the point that they put the cats back on.. Spend the extra cash and get a system form one of the forum supporting aftermarket vendors. Stainless Works makes a very nice 2/12 and a 3" system with an X pipe and high flow cats.

I have a cat system taken off my Z if you need it. It has been cut to accept an after market X pipe. But, other than that it is in perfect condition.

Let me know if you're interested in purchasing.

97 - 98 and I think 99 MAF's were the same. Cant speak for other years My 02 Z06 has a totaly different MAF

I have a Granatelli Motor Sprots MAF with plastic ends that I took off my 98 MN6 Coupe. It worked like a champ and never caused any DTC codes to be set. I took it off the car when I sold it.

Here are some PICs of the MAF

The plastic ends were blended and smoothed to match up with the MAF body.

I'll take $190. for it.

Let me know if you are interested.
