i have heard that the rake on the c5 vette is 1/2" from the front to the back. i like a little more aggressive rake than that and planing to lower my car this weekend.
now my question is what would happend if i decided to rake the car with a 1" difference in hieght, front to rear? like 2" in the front and 1" in the rear.
a rake of 4 to 5 mm or 3/16" to 1/4 " is needed for proper aerdynamic under car suction. This help hold the car down at high speeds. This also goes with lowering no more then 1" to 1 3/8". lowering more then that can also cause unstabilty and the suppension will not work properly. Slammed cars look cool but unfortunityly dont function very well.
More rake MAY cause the car to be unstable at high speeds.
All measerments are on the frame rails just behind the jacking puck holes.
