I am considering replacing my factory "plastic" intake with one of the new polished aluminum models on the market so I can port match my new heads and extrud hone (polish) the plenum runners. I have seen 1 offered by Holley and another, split body design, by Lingenfelter. Anyone have experience with either of these? Results, headaches, etc? Input appreciated.
I dont know this from personal experiance but I have heard that the aluminum intakes retain engine heat and you lose h.p from heating the incoming air.good luck,JER
These are for NO2 or other FI with lots of pressure. Do not use with anything else or you will gain weight and heat which will degrade performance and wallet.

Heat and weight issues, from what I've heard. If you want port-matching, I know the FAST manifold has that capability. There are probably others out there as well. Good luck!

Heat and hot air kills HP. Aluminum my look cool but is not for performance. That is why all the non movable parts on intakes are nylon composite, light wieght and do not retain much heat.
