There was just a topic over in OT where someone encountered the same problem. He ran into this twice after getting gas from the same gas station. He called the state, they ran a gas analysis only to find they had been using 87 octane in the 93 octane tanks and charging the customer for it!
I would burn off as much as you can, and refill with premium from a different station.
I get some pinging, but only when the temp outside is over 100 and I put my foot in it. See if it happens in the morning when its cool. If it does not ping when cool and does when hot, it is heat related.
I ran my car at E-town last Saturday, the first four runs were 13.0, I couldn't break into the 12's, thought I heard some pinging while making those runs. I put in one gallon of the 116 octane gas and ran three 12.91 second runs in a row with no pinging.
I believe the fuel has everything to do with it and is most likely your problem.

You went from a 13.0 to 12.1 by adding ONE gallon of racing feul...
