"Charge System Fault"

This message popped up on my DIC the other day. I pressed reset and it did not come back. Can anyone tell me why this would happen?

I get that once in awhile but never really pay attention to it cause my Voltage always shows 14+

same here

i saw the voltage blip down to 12ish one time on the DIC then the message came up...probably a grounding problem, dont worry about it

Mine would do this on start up. I had this for quite some time and we replaced the alternator and the ignition switch to no avail. Turned out it was like a 10 cent ground fix for the ignition switch (or somewhere close).

I was geting the same message about every 3rd start up. car was still under warranty and nothing ever sent codes to the computer. the fix was to replace the igition switch, the post above about the ground may also be correct as it is in the same place.
