Default Another A/C problem - need a solution

Hello all,
I've been noticing a lot of posts about A/C problems. Here's another situation for you. I have dual climate control. About 6 months ago I noticed where the display lights on the dual climate control went out. Well, I can live with that I thought. A/C and heater worked fine. Well out of no where a few months back the A/C started causing problems. I would get cold air out of the passenger side and hot air out of the driver's side. Now, it seems like even the passenger side is struggling to get cold air. Finally, here's another piece of information. Last night, completely fed up and annoyed with the A/C, I decided to see just how hot it would get and I turned the temperate up as hot as it would go. Well, it made some kind of crackling noise and only sent out a little hot air. So basically it looks like I have no air AND no heat. It looks like whatever is coming out of the vent is what I get. What do you think this is? Thanks for the help everyone.

Josh

When your getting cold on the right side and warm on the left your low on refridgerant, I know its hard to believe but its true.
Most common leak point on a C5 is the compressor, you can normaly see oil residue on the case when it happens.

Steps you need to take are:
1. Check for codes
2. Double check 134 level with pressure gauges
3. Check blend acuator operation (located on left side of box near throttle pedal)

Here's what fixed my issue!!! My AC is blowing colder than ever! I never thought clearing the codes would reset the actuator doors.....fuses #18 and #27 didn't do the trick, nor did disconnecting the battery!
**********************************
Check and see if you have a code in 99-HVAC B0441 H

This means the Left Actuator is out of range

I had the same problem. I found a thread that said if you have any 99-HVAC codes to clear them even if they are listed as history (that's what the H stands for) and it would fix the problem. I had code B0441 H and B0337 H I cleared them both and my problem was solved. When you clear B0441 H listen for the actuators resetting and wait until you don't hear them anymore then clear the others.......

I started my car turned on the AC and all vents blew cold air! I live in Texas so you can see I'm over joyed that it fixed my warm air (driver), cold air (passenger) issue!!!!

Good luck!
