I see this all the time, they are claimed to be better without numbers to back up the claim. Please provide further information. I have QTP's and like them very much, but the question was not asked on them. I have also spoken with several tuners in the area and they all prefer the "other" brand, which always elicits a lively discussion.

I have not had Dynatech but, I have had Breathless,TPIS, KOOKS, and now LG's I cannot tell a real difference between them. If I had to do it again I would get the KOOKS. My opinion is they are made better than the others.

I have the Lg's and like them very much. I can't comment on the Dynatech's because I've never had them. Just from what I've read on the many threads on this forum is that on a basicly stock vette there is very little difference between most headers. It's when you start getting into Head/Cam pkgs that the Lg's are supposed to really shine, giving you a little more hp than the others. There have been some tuners on here also that have dynoed every brand and the Lg's usually come out with the most hp. If you're really interested in getting headers, do a search on them and you'll get plenty of reading and opinions. That's what I did before I got mine. Good luck with you decision.

LG's are better in terms of performance. Apart from the arrogance and bashing that LG typically dishes out to other header brands, their headers do perform better from the few legitimate tests I have seen here. Good for additional 5-10 rwhp. But that small amount of hp will cost you $400-500 over the price of dynatechs or kooks.

I bought the dynatechs b/c that hp isnt worth it to me. I paid $1290 shipped for my dynatechs compared to $1745 for the LGs at the time. With that $450 I am half way to buying a 50rwhp cam. If you are intent on the LGs, they are offering their headers with cats for $1695. They substituted a different brand of metal matrix cats in place of their usual random tech cats to lower the price.

I bought mine from Texas Speed and Performance (forum vendor) for $1290 shipped back in december 2004. This included manifolds, cats, x-pipe, and all of the necessary gaskets, seals, clamps, etc. The dynatech package comes ready to bolt on. I think T-byrne motorsports is offering free shipping on all headers right now. Find the lowest price and then call around to forum vendors to see if they can beat that price. Many vendors will drop the price for you if it means getting your business over giving it to another vendor.

I'm having Dynatechs put in at Speed Inc. in the next two weeks, along with a Cartek 2x cam. Can't wait.

If the search function happens to be working when you try it here on the Forum, you'll find about as much verbiage about this topic as there are lines of code in Windows!

Go for it!

All the best.
