Default Air bag install

Both air bag deployed and no damage. Front drivers wheel hit curb and bent but tire did not go flat. Not a scratch on car. The question is besides the air bags and clock sping what else is needed to do to bring everything back to OEM specs? sensors, ecu flash, etc.... Thanks guys for your help

You will need both air bags and the sensor and diagnostic module which is located under the radio and A/C controller in the center console. You can make the exchange with the battery disconnected. To get to the passenger side air bag you will need to remove the dash panel. To remove the drivers air bag you need a Torx driver to remove two screws that face the instrument panel. Take it slow and methodical and don't break any connectors, especially the one to the drivers air bag.

thanks for the info. I know the 2 air bags and the clock spring (or coil) but what sensor and module and also why? spoke to a local dealer and they stated if the car was not wrecked the sensors would be ok. but we all know the dealer is not always 100%. More info please. Thanks

For what it's worth---did you run this situation past your insurance company? I thought they paid to restore airbags when they deploy in an accident...

Once you turn it into your insurance BOOM feels just like another air bag blew up in your face when you see your new monthly bill So far 2 bags and the clock spring is only costing $1090. I will have my own shop do the install for free If any one has any input on this please REPLY
