Default Help code 0332

I am getting a code pcm 0332 and I understand it to be knock sensor circuit rear but I dont understand what to do to fix this.Do I need a new rear knock sensor?This has only started coming up after the vararam install.Are they related somehow?Thanks .JER

depending on the year of your car,there is a tech bulletin on water getting into the rear knock sensor harness.this is most likely to happen if you wash your engine.i don't think the vararam has anything to do with it.

Thanks bro,I dont know about the engine washing but that may be it.It was washed by the dealer I bought it from over a year ago.BTW my car is a 98.JER

The 2 knock sensors connect to a wiring loom connector that is on the left rear where there is a bracket that stands vertical on rear of left intake. Maybe connector came loose or bad wire or pin at that connector.

The vararam may have made the AFR lean up too much causing more knock and a weak sensor then faulting.
To replace you have to take intake manifold off and you might as well then replace both of them and the short wiring harness.

For rear knock sensor get some silicon and make a dam around valley pan hole for knock sensor for this would then prevent water filling the hole and shorting out sensor in the future.
