I have a crate ls6 that im putting cnc 243 heads on and i have a chance to get a cam about 238 dur and .580ish lift with i think a 106 or 108 lobr cent. what is this small lobe cent gonna do to my 99 A4 vert with 3.73 gears and 300 protorque? is it going to make it hard to drive mellow or what?thanks in advance, Normand
A good sized cam like the one your decribing on a 106 - 108 LSA is a bad match for an A4. Because a cam with a 108 LSA is likely to have a very rough idle. Go with a cam with at least 112 LSA with 114 LSA being an even better match.
Your gonna hate the 108-106 centerline-the car will have no vacuum, stink and will barely hold a idle. You need to step down a bit-maybe something in the 230 range and at least a 112 centerline or better yet a 114 for a auto.

I agree with my colleagues here keep the lsa between 112 and 114 and i have had a 113 lsa on a stock cubed A4 h/c C5 and it was perfect.
FACE,
That is an AWESOME PICTURE Of you launching your BAD AZZ A4 stock cubed C5 at the drags and the car LOOKS FREAKIN MEAN and BAD TO THE BONE.
Is that the stock hood i assume or not? It seems a bit more aggressive than stock but it probably is stock by the entire posture of the car just gives it an extra edge!!!!!!!
KEEP up the GREAT WORK and looking forward to some 10.9X time slips from you in this cold fall air we are now into!!!
