Default Free cold air

Well I did it .The Window mod.

I have a Halltech Stinger
I put the car on some Rhino Ramps. opened the hood.
I drew a line around the Filter since It lays on the radiator
shroud. Then removed the Stinger. I was
able to cut a square in the shroud. NO need to the remove shroud.Saved a ton of work
I looked at putting
the window pocket on,I was able to find at Office max. Figured
A. the thing is plastic and it also blocks a lot of the cold air coming to the radiator, from the air dam. so i left it off.
I just pop riveted the stainless screen in place with 8 pop rivets and washers. With a helper underneath And reinstalled The Stinger.got aperfect fit and the window is the same as the filter Can't see the screen from the top.So the bottom side of the filter is getting some serious cold air. Instead of being closed off by the shroud
Caused Me to get a little spark rattle (go lean)and i WAS DYNO TUNED 12.8
across the board. But it sure felt like I found some power.
Off for another test drive. Car should ajust this time.

The "scoop" does two things - it sheilds incoming air from the hot radiator at low vehicle speeds and it directs a very strong stream of air at the screened opening. Certainly, your Halltech Stinger will receive some cold air and that is a good thing.

Just back in and WOW
The improvement I have is simply amazing. After driving 3-4 times
Feels like 380 to the ground. Big noticeable over the the 366.9
Dyno I have
1 more dyno appointment coming. This thing will make 370 plus easy.
stock with a Halltech Stinger w/ window mod. The thing was a
handful, Just launched a 120 plus trap at my private track
This is a great mod. Have you tryed it without the pocket.
It's certainly getting plenty of great air from the air dam. I measured my square
it is 8 1/4 inch by 6 inch exactly under the filter.
Thanks for posting the Idea.
