Can someone school me - what is the difference between long tube headers and short tube headers? And don't say 1 is long and 1 is short 
. What is the outcome? What kind do you have?
Also, does anyone know the size of the stock throttle body on an 02 Z06?
While I am at it, if you upgrade to slotted/cross drilled rotors, should you do pads also? Why or why not. If you don't do pads is it okay?

The length and diameter of the tubes will control not only the amount of tq and hp, but also the RPM range where the increases occur.
I've never personally tried short tube headers, but I have heard of guys only picking up 6-8 hp over the stock exhaust. As a resullt, many consider them a waste of money and time.
The long tubes, on the other hand, will get claims of anywhere from 18-35hp, depending on the brand and what you have done to the intake side.
